More people that love Grayson!

This past weekend Grayson got to meet his Bibby Sue and Uncle Jeremy. Poppi was floored at how much Grayson had grown in 8 weeks. We had a great weekend with them! Grayson especially got a kick out of Uncle Jeremy. He gave him all sorts of smiles!

Uncle Jeremy and Bibby Sue were getting great smiles from Grayson in the car.
He says Mommy please stop taking pictures of me! He doesn't even look at the camera anymore.
We took Layla for a walk this morning to get some fresh air. I found these sunglasses in his room this morning and had to give them a whirl. Still a bit big, but he wore them for the whole walk. When we got home I took them off and he had fallen asleep. Hmmm maybe we will try to wear these when he won't nap during the day. :)

Flashback to 1 month old

Ok so a little late, but we couldn't resist sharing these pictures taken by the fabulous Kelley Halloran. She did our maternity pictures and pictures the day Grayson was born at the hospital. She came over to our house to do some one month photos. They were incredible. It is awesome to look back and see how much our Grayson has changed in just a short few weeks. We hope you enjoy looking at a few of our favorites!

I am 2 months old!

Get ready for some smiles! I am getting better at being photographed, however I still like to play tricks on Mommy and Daddy and as soon as they get their cameras or phones out, I stop. They have caught me a few times though.
I was playing in my vibrating chair. I still love the green elephant that hangs above me.
Couldn't you just smush up this face?
Again on the changing table. We love to be there!
Some more time in the Bumbo seat. Such a big boy!

Father's Day Weekend 2011

Now our little Grayson is 8 weeks old. Adam and I were so lucky to both get to celebrate our first Mother's Day and Father's Day this year. Both were very laid back days spending time with family. What could be better? We go to the doctor at the end of the month for Grayson's 2 month checkup with shots. :( He is growing like a weed! We can't wait to see what his weight/height is up to according to the doctor's scale. This weekend my parents came into town and Gramps met Grayson for the first time! We wish family lived closer so every time they saw him wasn't a special occasion. Hopefully that will happen sometime soon! He is getting more to be more and more fun and giving smiles away constantly. Everyone agrees they are delicious. We love the gummy ones the best. Hopefully as he gets older we can get more pictures of them. Grayson's not really on a routine during the day time but he definitely has a pattern at night. We have moved into only 1 feeding in the middle of the night, which both Mommy and Daddy are excited about. He goes from 930 until somewhere between 230 and 430. Then sleeps again until about 630-730. This weekend we had an anomaly. He slept from 930 until 5:15! We went bananas. Sadly it was a fluke as he returned to his other schedule, but it gave us hope for what is to come. Above is an updated family picture.
Here is Gramps and Grayson playing on the floor. Grayson is thinking, "Gramps, what do you have all over your face?" Gramps can't get over how calm and laid back he is. He was on his best behavior for company that weekend.
Here is Daddy with his son and daughter on Father's Day. Again, we can't wait for him to be able to roll over, he sleeps so soundly on his belly. That will be the trick to getting him to sleep through the night.
Grayson loves his swing, so we decide to take all pictures with family there. Here is Grammie and Gramps with their Grayson.
Here is when Grammie is most happy. She has her grandson sleeping on the Grammie chair.

What a big boy!

Lots has been going on around here! We are such a big boy. We rub our eyes when we are tired, talk up a storm, and make big boy poops. :) It has been very exciting. Mommy has also decided that she can't bear to leave this little boy so she has opted to resign from teaching and stay home next year. Donations are welcome. :) We have been busy doing new things and taking as many pictures as possible. He is smiling more and more everyday. His happiest time is first thing in the morning and I get a ton of smiles when I am trying to feed him.
He still loves his play mat. He has recently found the mirror. I think he was a little scared at first, but now he loves looking at himself.
Do I even need a caption for this one? :)
This was a big day for us. We wore an outfit with shorts for the first time! The outfit says "Big Man on Campus." Mom thought it was appropriate because today I went with her to the end of the year luncheon.
Couldn't resist this one. He fell asleep with his water bottle, while watching TV on the couch. Also pictured is Layla, who didnt mind sharing her couch with her brother.
Now that he is getting bigger and isn't as much of a bobble head, we are trying new things. We got out the Baby Bjorn to see how he would like it. You can tell by the smile on his face that he really enjoyed it! He got to look around and see what was going on. Daddy has a pretty big smile going on too!

6 and 1/2 weeks old

So nothing super exciting has been happening lately, so I decided to just post some new pictures!

Like I said before he is smiling a lot more now, but our cameras take so long to snap the picture that we can't really capture a good one! This is the best one we have gotten so far. Sorry for the blur, Adam was taking it and holding him at the same time.
He is happiest when he is on his changing table. I put the camera right next to it so I could catch one. Not so lucky, this was the tail end of a smile.
He loves his vibrating chair. He is especially fond of the green elephant that hangs above him.
Daddy got to take Grayson to work on June 6th for the morning. Mommy wanted to go back to the awards ceremony at school so Grayson learned all about what his dad does. (Doesn't look like he is too interested.)
We know it is a bit early, since they are supposed to be able to hold their heads up on their own, but we decided to try the Bumbo seat. He did a good job in it. It was a good neck workout for him. He flopped to the side a few times and was able to use his muscles to pull his head back up. Can't wait for him to be able to sit in this for real!
I love this picture! I think he looks adorable (aside from the obvious receding hair line that he is rocking.)
About a week and a half ago we thought that Grayson was having some mild acid reflux issues. In order to help him with this we rigged his mattress so it is at an incline. By doing this, we were afraid that he was going to slide down or flop over. Enter Daddy to fix this! The tread on the shoes have kept our little boy in the position we want him to be in. Since then we feel that he is doing better at night. Thanks Daddy!
