Thanksgiving photo shoot

Check out our little turkey! He comes with all of the fixings. :) We had such a good time with our photo shoot and he was such a good sport!

Enough of this turkey business. Everyone knows the story of the Pilgrims and the Indians...so here they are! Grayson with his good friend Cooper dressed the parts to show everyone the true story of Thanksgiving and friendship. Classic!!

First trip to the zoo!

We took our first trip to the zoo in November. Grayson absolutely adored it. He had a great time looking at the all the animals and taking in all of the natural aspects that the zoo had to offer. His favorite part of the day by far was the merry-go-round. He had a blast on it, was smiling, laughing, and holding on to the pole like a big boy.

Check out the video on the bottom of my first merry-go-round ride!

We also got a visit from Poppi, Bibby Sue, and Uncle Jeremy. We had a blast with them. Grayson loves playing with them. They were so much fun!

New camera!

So we figured that with all of the pictures we take of our cute little boy, we might as well bite the bullet and buy a good camera. After 6 months of thousands of "I just missed getting the best picture" we couldn't put it off anymore! Daddy has had a great time learning how to use this new camera and all the fancy stuff it does. Mommy just snaps pictures and lo and behold, they come out adorable. :) Here are a few of our favorites over the past 2 weeks. We have had a lot of mini photo shoots both inside and in our backyard. Even got to take a few of us all dressed up before an engagement party for our friends!

6 month photo shoot and stats

So sorry for the delay! Been crazy around here. We had our 6 month doctor's appointment last week and Grayson weighed in at 18 lbs and 4 ounces. He is 26.5 inches tall. That keeps him in about the 50th percentile for both weight and height.

These days he is a professional sitter and anything he gets his hands on, goes directly in the mouth. Big news: We cut our first tooth yesterday! If you are looking at him, it is the one on the bottom right. We can see the bottom left one through the gums, so it should be making a grand entrance any day now.

We were having some issues with crying at bedtime/naptime. Doctor told us it was the beginning of separation anxiety now that he has the sense of object permanence. We are working on it, using the cry it out method, which has worked great. He now has no problem, knock on wood, for going to bed, we are having a few issues with him staying asleep. For some reason he thinks 430 or 5 is an okay time to wake up. Each day gets better and better and he is becoming a great self soother. Hopefully it just gets better and better!

He is still his happy go lucky self during the day. So much fun to play with and if he gets the least bit fussy, all you have to do is take him outside and he is in heaven. He sure loves to be out there! Laughing/smiling happens all the time and he is now obsessed with peek a boo. I pretend I cant find him, even when he is in my arms, and frantically look around saying, "Where's Grayson?" I finally look down to see a huge gummy smile staring right at me. I can't imagine what that smile will look like once there are a bunch of teeth in there!

Enjoy the rest of the pictures from our photo shoot with friend Kelley.
